If you’ve followed the sordid details levelled against Prince Andrew closely, you’ll have heard the puppet allegations before.
Then again, given that it’s hard to keep up with all of the sexual crimes that Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew, and others are said to have been involved in, it never hurts to jog the memory.
Yesterday brought news that another witness had come forward to corroborate the story told by accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre (also referred to as Virginia Giuffre), who says she partied with Prince Andrew on the night of March 10, 2001, before being forced to have sex with him.
In addition, a manuscript for Giuffre’s unpublished book, ‘The Billionaire Playboy’s Club’, has now been unsealed.
This from Vanity Fair:
Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell gifted Andrew his own caricature puppet from the satirical ’80s British TV show Spitting Image in April 2001.
In Giuffre’s manuscript—which was released by New York Judge Loretta Preska last week as part of a large batch of unsealed documents from a now settled civil defamation case between Giuffre and Maxwell—she writes that she met Andrew around that time in the first-floor study of Epstein’s Manhattan home and “he looked me up and down like a shiny new car on display and he was about to take it for a test drive.”
We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the unsealed documents, and you can already tell that there are powerful men across the world sweating bullets at the moment.
Back to the puppets:
“It was easy to give them the reaction they desired, all I had to do was pretend to be entertained by their lewd gestures, and when Andrew cupped my breast with a doll made in his image, I only giggled away,” she continued.
“Ghislaine wanted to take a picture of the bizarre scene and even got Johanna [Sjoberg], another one of Jeffrey’s so-called personal assistants to come sit on his other knee for the snapshot.”
After “many crude jokes,” Giuffre then claims that she was ordered to take the prince to the “dungeon” for an erotic massage.
In the 2016 case brought by Giuffre against Maxwell, Sjoberg testified under oath that this occurred as told above.
The puppets in question come from the very popular British show Spitting Image, which ran for 18 series between 1984 and 1996.
Prince Andrew with Sarah, Duchess of York, also known as Fergie:
Here’s another clip featuring ‘Randy Andy’:
“I’m just a prince that can’t say no” – well, if the litany of accusations are true, neither could the women he sexually assaulted and raped.
By the way, Spitting Image is planning a return to British television screens, and recently unveiled a new set of puppets.
Via the Guardian, here’s a selection:
Boris Johnson
The prime minister’s puppet draws attention to his shock of blond hair, while Cummings’ puppet portrays the former Vote Leave director in his trademark hoodie with a flamboyant silver collar.
Boris’ chief adviser, Dominic Cummings

Oh, and another of Prince Andrew, looking rather less randy and considerably more glum:
In addition to the puppets above, the likes of Donald Trump, Beyoncé, Harry and Meghan, Vladimir Putin, Bernie Sanders, Elon Musk, Adele and James Corden will also get the Spitting Image treatment.
It’s easy to imagine at least one of those names throwing their toys out of the cot at the sight of their puppet.
