PUMA has been collaborating with the best in the business for longer than most can remember.
Their brand ambassadors range from the likes of Selena Gomez, to some of the world’s most prolific athletes.
Lately, however, PUMA has been branching out, with a fresh take on the world, and their involvement in it.
During Pride Month they partnered with Cara Delevingne to honour the LGBTQQIA+ community.
They’ve also teamed up with First Mile, an organisation that works with micro-economies in Haiti, Honduras and Taiwan, to collect plastic bottles, which were then turned into yarn and used to create the eco-friendly PUMA First Mile collection.
Now they’re turning their attention to the situation at hand – a global pandemic affecting the lives and livelihoods of millions of people.
VERSUS explains:
PUMA have just dropped off their new Unity Collection, a new sportswear pack that celebrates PUMA’s sports heritage and the power to unite the world through sport.
The collection brings together brightly-coloured apparel, footwear and accessories that draw inspiration from the vibrant colours seen on international flags.
Pieces are elevated with bespoke detailing such as printed drawcords and gold metal hardware that make the pieces properly pop.
The colours used in the collection are the ones most commonly used in flags from around the world.
When you buy a pair of sneakers or update your sportswear or athleisure collection with one of these stylish pieces, you’ll be doing so with the knowledge that your brand of choice is helping out countries struggling to get what they need to fight the pandemic.
As part of the launch, PUMA has pledged to donate $100,000 USD to the U.N. Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, where donations will go directly to support the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) global work to help countries prevent, detect, and respond to the Covid-19 pandemic, with a further $100,000 USD donation will be generated from the sales of the PUMA masks at PUMA retail.

You can shop the Unity Collection, including the Future Rider Trainer, from PUMA online:
The modernised ’80s design features the shock-absorbing PUMA slim Federbein outsole and the ultra-comfortable Rider Foam midsole. Vibrant colours are drawn from international flags, and then mixed with gold metal hardware to elevate an old classic into a global icon.
We might not have been able to enjoy the Olympics this year, but this collection seems to capture the spirit of the event – unity through sport.
Head on over to PUMA for more on their extensive range of collaborations.
Let the games begin.
