On July 2, Ghislaine Maxwell was finally arrested in New Hampshire, in an early morning raid by the FBI that involved the use of bolt cutters and some stealth on the part of agents.
Despite her efforts to flee, she is now securely locked away and awaiting trial, where she faces charges that she helped recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse minors.
She has thus far refused to take any responsibility, reportedly breaking down in tears and asking why this is happening to her when she appeared in front of a judge.
Maxwell and her lawyers are also desperately trying to keep what they call ‘confidential documents’ out of the courtroom, supposedly showcasing nude, partially nude, or otherwise sexualised images, videos, and other depictions of individuals.
Some court documents have since been unsealed, and included graphic descriptions of Maxwell’s body by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of her accusers, who has also spoken out against Prince Andrew.
Giuffre has been one of the most prominent alleged victims in the case, after a photograph emerged of her as a teenager standing with Maxwell and Prince Andrew. She has also stated that she finally feels like justice is being done now that Maxwell is facing charges.
On August 2, Giuffre taunted her alleged abuser with a tweet, containing a poolside selfie, reports the New York Post. The tweet has since been deleted:

Fair enough.
As the court case continues, it’s expected that more horrifying details will emerge.
