Iron Mike is back, and he looks hungry.
Not hungry in the Evander Holyfield ‘munch on your ear’ kind of way, but rather hungry to get back in the ring and prove that he still has what it takes to beat the living daylights out of another human being.
Yesterday, Mike announced that he will fight Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout in September, after more than 15 years away from the sport.
His last official fight was back in 2005, when he lost against heavyweight Kevin McBride in a TKO.
Tyson, 54, will take on Jones Jr, 51, in an eight-round fight scheduled for September 12.
On social media, the announcement came in two parts. First, Tyson touted his new venture, Tyson League:

Then later, he announced his fight against Jones Jr:
I. AM. BACK. #legendsonlyleague. September 12th vs @RealRoyJonesJr on #Triller and PPV #frontlinebattle @TysonLeague pic.twitter.com/eksSfdjDzK

Info below via 7News:
The fight will be available on pay-per-view outlets as well as on music-video app Triller, which has exclusive streaming rights to a 10-part docuseries featuring behind-the-scenes prefight footage.
Tyson is the former undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion with a record of 50 wins, six losses, and two no contests…
The Tyson-Jones fight is the first event of a series produced under Mike Tyson’s new Legends Only League, a sports venture owned by Tyson and Eros Innovations, an investment group affiliated with Eros International.
It’s rumoured that Triller paid more than $50 million for exclusive streaming rights for the exhibition, so they must be expecting a decent-sized audience to tune in.
Jones Jr might have the slight upper hand, in that he only retired in 2018, but recent footage has shown Tyson looking pretty mean with the gloves on.
Let’s finish with Iron Mike’s typically forthright response when questioned about how the idea for the fight was born:
