This weekend, the Sunday Times reported that a yacht, owned by Mmamolanewane Accommodation Holdings had been moved in the dead of night to a secret location. Former MP and the chairman of parliament’s portfolio committee on sport, and current Free State MEC for police, roads and transport, Butana Khompela, is a director and major shareholder in Mmamalanewane Accomodation Holdings. The yacht was spirited away from Cape Town Harbour’s Elliot Basin in order to avoid attachment by debt collectors, who are actively seeking to settle a R5 million outstanding balance on the financing of the yacht. 2oceansVibe has located the yacht, Tropico, at the premises of an obscure container company in Marine Drive, Milnerton, Cape Town. First pictures, after the jump.

The yacht’s location in Marine Drive, Milnerton.
The yacht is perched on dry land, hidden awkwardly behind the office premises of East Coast Container Services on Marine Drive, Milnerton.
The elephant in the room. The attempt at concealment is almost comical.
The yacht’s name, “Tropico”, was clearly visible to the naked eye, spelled out in glue residue on the bridge of the vessel.
