As soon as the national lockdown restrictions were eased, allowing for people to head to another residence, folks with a holiday home in places like Plett and Knysna hit the road and headed for the coast.
Fair enough, really, because if you have a view like the one above, I reckon you’re good to start the day with a Mimosa, and there’s no harm in a glass or two of wine with lunch.
You have to live the holiday.
Anyway, one of the five famous castles of Noetzie, near Knysna, has now hit the market, and the six-bedroom, five-bathroom property is going for R17 995 000.
The title of castle is well earned:
If you want to know about the history of the five castles, swing in here, but let’s carry on with the Property24 listing:
Very private, tranquil living which sleeps up to 14 people. There are two master suites and additionally, a grand suite on the top floor with its’ own private lounge and patio with infinite views over the ocean.
This stately property is perfectly placed, walk out into the sand of a mostly isolated beach, and hear the waves crashing from your home, walk only metres to dip your toes into the Indian Ocean.
This unique stone castle is triple storey, with basement storage and underground water tank, and offers generous accommodation with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms plus a separate room for staff.
Open-plan kitchen and living areas open onto large patio, perfect for dining and enjoying fabulous sunsets and balmy evenings. Enjoy lazy days on the beach and a cozy retreat in winter…
Aha, look at that. Orange juice and wine.
Not quite the Mimosa I mentioned earlier, but I told you that this is the sort of home that warrants an early start.
Quite unique and independent with its’ own electricity supply and water tanks and nestled into the indigenous forest where it meets the sandy shores of this very private beach.
Quite nice.
If this was Takealot, I would ‘Add to Cart’, and then remove later when it came time to pay and I realised I don’t quite have the means.
