Meal kits are great if you feel like cooking and want something wholesome, but after 60+ days of lockdown, who still wants to cook? And who wants the hassle of ordering takeaways every night? It’s not like Butler’s are open.
Imagine if you could get something wholesome, but somebody else cooks it for you! Now there’s a clever concept.
Check this out – Cape Town’s favourite gourmet homemade food eatery, Café du Cap, has launched weekly home deliveries, allowing you to order ONCE for the whole week. That’s pre-cooked meals to your door, delivered daily. You just heat up at home and away you go.
The range of meals on the menu includes everything from Pulled Lamb, Gammon, Lasagna and Cottage Pie, to Vegan Grilled Sausages, Vegan Burritos, Bobotie, Chicken Bites, Spinach and Feta Meatballs, Whole Roast Chicken, Butternut and Spinach Pasta and Chicken Cassoulet. And that’s just scratching the surface.
Here are some photos of actual takeaway meals from Café du Cap:
Delivery areas include the Cape Town City Bowl, Atlantic Seaboard, Southern Suburbs, and Deep South.
Payment can be made via Snapscan and EFT.
Unsolicited feedback from customers include:
“Just to say thank you for the two deliveries so far this week. We have absolutely LOVED the meals! Already had dinner tonight as we couldn’t wait!”
And
”I have never tasted anything like this pulled lamb before. We are literally fighting over the scraps!”
