Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has made it to his first birthday.
All rejoice.
When he first popped on the scene, we weren’t allowed to see much of him, with the exception of his feet.
While the world was relieved that the royal baby had all 10 piggies, the general population in the UK seemed to think that it was a slight that they weren’t all invited into the birthing room.
Well, no more. Now that he has surpassed the 12-month mark, Harry and Meghan obviously feel a little more comfortable sharing videos of Archie on social media.
Per CBS News:
Archie’s mother, Meghan, read one of his most beloved stories, “Duck! Rabbit!” while his father, Prince Harry, was behind the camera capturing the scene. Archie, who was thoroughly entertained while sitting on his mother’s lap, helped her turn the pages before eagerly reaching for the next storybook.
Settle in for storytime:
He’s cute. I’ll give him that.
He also has roughly the same volume of hair as uncle Will.
The video was part of a campaign with #SaveWithStories, which the Duke and Duchess are backing, The initiative aims to support children and families around the world who have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The family recently moved to a home in Los Angeles after several months in Canada. Archie, who is seventh in line to the British throne, spent his first Christmas and New Year’s Day in the commonwealth nation.
He has already travelled all over the world, including a trip to South Africa when he was four months old, where he met Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and his daughter.
You can watch the original video on Instagram if you are so inclined.
