International model and media personality, Naomi Campbell, proved this week that she ‘s willing to sacrifice style for safety when she rocked up at the airport in a hazmat suit.
It’s a choice, a strange choice, but we’ll run with it.
Campbell shared pics of herself dressed up in the full safety suit, usually used by persons transporting hazardous materials – complete with goggles, gloves and a face mask – on Instagram.
While coronavirus is preventing many from keeping their travel plans, Campbell seems to have given COVID-19 the proverbial finger with her travel outfit.
It’s not the giant sunglasses and maxi-dresses that became popular at airports a couple of years ago, but it is useful.
Campbell has previously admitted to being a germaphobe and has reinforced her stance in the face of the coronavirus outbreak with her N95 mask, hazmat suit and surprisingly chic pink latex gloves.
Canoe.com gave the down-low on the star’s germ-free travel routine:
Campbell explained that, in addition to her safety-suit, she also sanitises her entire airplane seat before settling in for the ride.
She’s not taking any chances.
On top of her attempts at a germ-free flight, Campbell also has the safety of others in mind.
The leggy media personality sent words of support and love to Italy, her former home.
“My beloved ITALY Of which I spent the first 3 years of my early life. I’m with you. Thank you for always embracing me and giving me so much love #wishing speedy recovery”
All considered, her hazmat suit isn’t the weirdest way that people have used fashion to prevent infection.
