Surprise, surprise.
Given that Boris is clearly unskilled at basic preventative measures, and just an idiot in general, it shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise that he’s not really on top of this whole coronavirus thing.
Take for example a press conference he gave yesterday inside his Downing Street residence, when he gleefully told reporters that he shook hands with everyone at an unnamed hospital recently, including those infected with the coronavirus.
If stupidy was the vaccine, he would be just fine, but around the world, many health officials are telling people that there are safer greetings than handshakes.
Here’s that classic Boris stumbling style of speech in action:
‘I was at a hospital where there were a few #coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody’ says Boris Johnson.

Once again, whilst shaking hands isn’t the end of the world, many European countries are actively discouraging the practice in public, let alone when dealing with actual patients.
Still, Boris Johnson comes out smelling of roses next to the utterly gross (and dangerous) incompetence of Donald Trump.
His recent meeting with pharmaceutical executives and public health officials was an exercise in stupidity of the highest degree, starting with the issue of a vaccine.
This from Vox:
At one point during the meeting, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, tried to explain to the president that it would be at least a year and probably closer to 18 months before a coronavirus vaccine could be available to the public. But Trump didn’t want to hear it, and kept pressing the executives to come up with something before November’s election.
Let’s start with how Donnie thinks we can just try the old flu vaccine:
Trump thinks we should use the flu vaccine to defend against coronavirus.
We could not be in worse hands.

Look at that posture.
Observe these two videos:

At the end of the meeting, some officials said they thought they had succeeded in getting Trump to understand the vaccine timeline.
Sure, but then he headed to a political rally in Charlotte hours later, and all was forgotten. See the second video below:
“We had a great meeting today with a lot of the great companies, and they’re going to have vaccines I think relatively soon. And they’re going to have something that makes you better, and that’s going to actually take place we think even sooner” — Trump on the coronavirus pic.twitter.com/oujTse5Lnp

Great people, great meetings, great things.
The following day, Donald headed to the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference, and again addressed the coronavirus.
And, again put his foot in his mouth – second video:

Wow, inspiring words.
Yet, day after day, people talk of Trump’s intellect in glowing terms. People like this, I may add:

If extraterrestrials landed on this planet, asked to be taken to our leaders, and met with Boris and Donald, I’m pretty sure they would never return.
Hey, great job!
