The London Tube is going to be full of people belting out songs in the hope that someone films them, and makes them famous.

That’s what happened to Charlotte Awbery, who was on her way to visit a friend when she was asked by a YouTuber, Kevin Freshwater, to “complete the lyric”.

He sang the first few bars of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’, she expertly completed the verse, and the world was blown away.

Once you’ve gone viral on YouTube, it’s only a matter of time before Ellen invites you to perform on her show.

Wearing a demure white pantsuit, Awbery belted out a full version of the theme to 2019’s A Star Is Born before sitting down to chat with host Ellen DeGeneres and refute gossip that her now-viral video was staged. “I was literally on my way to meet my friend,” she explained. “I’m sorry, I’m so blown away that I’m actually sitting next to you. This is…honestly, I’m absolutely overwhelmed with all of this. Thank you so much for having me, I’ll just say.”
