Does this mean the end of a potential Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts collaboration?
I guess only time will tell.
David Scott of The Kiffness enjoys poking fun at himself and other musicians, and his jibes are usually taken in good spirit.
Having sung about white privilege in the past, Dave once again addressed the issue with what seemed like a harmless chirp on Twitter.
Quite humorous.
Hi, Dave. Hi, Jeremy. Hope you guys are having a lekker day.
Dave then posted a screenshot of the tweet to The Kiffness’ Instagram account, and that elicited a response from Jeremy himself.
He doesn’t seem thrilled with the jibe:
As you can see, Dave made use of the ‘prayer hands’ emoji, along with actual words, to convey his sense of respect for Jeremy’s craft.
At the time of writing, there has been no response from Loops.
We did some intense internet sleuthing (not really – we Googled ‘the kiffness jeremy loops’) and found this video, dating back to 2016, so maybe there’s some history here:
Make of that what you will.
Can you call this a ‘spat’? We did, but what differentiates a ‘spat’ from a ‘tiff’, or a ‘quarrel’, and when does it become a full-blown ‘beef’?
Can you call a ‘spat’ a ‘beef’ if one of the people involved is a vegan? So many questions.
Perhaps, to resolve the issue, Jeremy and The Kiffness should embark on a nationwide tour together, titled ‘Peace, Love, and Man Buns’.
OK, at the very least, let’s have a collaboration.
Before we go, please enjoy The Kiffness’ most recent Instagram post:
I guess that means the end of his chances of performing at the KKNK.
It’s a joke, everyone.
Love, light, and happiness.
