These days, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t recognise the iconic PUMA logo.
It’s an image that’s synonymous with the best in sports apparel, athleisure, and, of course, sneakers.
Not too long ago, however, the company seemed to be lagging behind some of its competitors.
When global director of brand and marketing, Adam Petrick, stepped in, the company started to rise (and rise), slowly beating out the competition to land itself a spot at the very top.
Forbes explains:
PUMA has been growing much faster than its competitors, and its stock has delivered superior returns. This past October, Puma made its debut on our list of the world’s most valuable sports brands.
They take a deeper dive into the success behind the brand on the YES Network’s Forbes SportsMoney show, where Mike Ozanian interviews Petwick about how they do things, and why it works so well:
Superb.
If you’d like to get your hands on, and feet into, a pair of world-class PUMA sneakers, you shop some of their collaborations online at PUMA SELECT.
I currently have my eye on the Cali ‘Peonies Camo’ S.TSAI, designed with a soft leather upper and an all-over military camouflage print:
These beauties were born out of a collaboration with New York-based artist and designer Sue Tsai.
To check out your potential new kicks in person, you can find PUMA SELECT stores in Bree Street, Cape Town, and Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
