There’s something soothing about turning on the telly and watching the natural wonders of the world unfold.
Perhaps it’s because, for an hour or two at least, you can forget about the news (as long as you’re not load shed).
It may be some time before we see Planet Earth III and Frozen Planet II on our screens, but you can enjoy David Attenborough’s Seven Worlds, One Planet, which aired late last year, for now.
None of those are focused on what happens when the sun goes down, though, which is what makes the Netflix docuseries Night on Earth so appealing.
Heres the Media Times:
“The series enables viewers to observe the behavior of nature at night. In six episodes, Night on Earth will explore the night world and offer insights into a rarely seen or understood but highly active animal world.
“The breakthrough technology will reveal new behaviors and provide unique insight into the great wonders of the world at night.
“Five of the six episodes explore a different habitat to show how the demands of surviving the darkest hours affect life unexpectedly. Episode six shows how wildlife around the world changes over the course of the night responded from sunset to sunrise.”
It’s clear from the trailer that this is going to be a good watch:
Six episodes, which you can probably binge in two evenings.
Night on Earth will be released on Netflix on January 29.
