At the end of every year, we’re faced with the difficult task of figuring out how to bring in the new year.
It’s one of those party decisions that either works out great or totally backfires.
There’s a simple reason for this – how we start something new is important, and New Year’s Eve is also loaded with pressure to have a good time.
It’s also one of the craziest nights to be out in and around Cape Town, as the price of everything goes through the roof and the city grinds to a halt.
Not a good vibe.
I don’t know about you, but all I want for New Year’s Eve is a pretty view, a cold beer, some good music and great company.
That’s why so many choose to bring in the new year with a festival, where you can pitch your tent, drink as much as you want, party hard and make your merry way home the next day.
Enter Kinky Summer’s New Year’s Eve Festival, brought to you by We Love Summer and Kinky Disco.
This year’s theme is ‘outer space’ so you know it’s going to be out of this world.
(Sorry, I had to go there).
Dance the day and night away to some of South Africa’s top music acts, on one of four dance floors. Take in the art installations, or go for a swim in the dam or pool.
You’ll also find ample safe parking, and if roughing it isn’t your thing, luxury camping facilities are available.
Let’s check out the aftermovie from the 2018/19 NYE party:
Good times.
Here are the details, so that you can nail down your New Year’s Eve plans:
Sol was at the last NYE party, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. The sun is at all the best parties, and this year will be no different, so you can bring in 2020 with an ice-cold Sol.
Nothing quite screams New Year’s Eve like sharing a cold one with friends and celebrating the freedom that comes with fresh starts and new beginnings.
