The teaser trailer for Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn was enough to get us interested, but it left fans of the DC supervillain wanting more.
Now, the upcoming spinoff from the godawful Suicide Squad has an official trailer.
Fans of Margot Robbie get to see more of her in her role as Harley Quinn, without the irritating presence of Jared Leto’s Joker.
Apparently Joaquin Phoenix puts Leto to shame, but that’s a story for another day.
Over to Mashable:
Fans of Margot Robbie’s performance in Suicide Squad have a lot to look forward to, as the Harley in this movie is post-breakup and ready to break out on her own as “the one people should be scared of.”
The trailer also has some great glimpses of Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis/Black Mask, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, all of whom look ripped from the pages of DC comics and are ready to raise hell.
Here, at long last, is the trailer:
Birds of Prey arrives in theatres February 7, 2020.
