The weather has taken a bit of a turn from the heatwave of last weekend, and the next few days could be a touch cloudy.
That’s excellent news if you want to take it easy and stay indoors, and the best way to take it easy is by settling in with a good series.
If you’re on the hunt for something binge-worthy, nothing beats a gripping crime drama.
Based on bestselling author Michael Connelly’s series of crime novels that have sold over 74 million copies, Bosch has achieved a 100% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes for seasons two to five, which were each drawn from a combination of different novels.
It has also been hailed as “the most reliably entertaining series of its kind on TV” by Screenrant, and “one of TV’s most irresistible binges… TV’s best-written cop drama” by Newsday.
If you need a little more convincing, check out the trailer for season one:
If you’re all caught up on seasons one to four, which are streaming on Showmax, I have some good news for you.
Season five is now streaming first on Showmax, and is based on Connelly’s 2017 novel, Two Kinds of Truth, a #1 New York Times bestseller:
In this season, intersecting plotlines will put Bosch’s career – and his life – in peril. Bosch finds himself accused of having planted evidence in an old murder case, which calls into question not only his integrity, but potentially all his previous cases, and with them, his career.
We’ll also see Bosch – alias: Dominic Reilly – go undercover, armed with only a (pretty deadly) walking cane, to blow the lid off a violent opioid ring after a murder at a Hollywood pharmacy.
Gripping stuff.
As previously mentioned, you can watch seasons one to five now on Showmax.
Existing DStv Premium subscribers can add Showmax to the bouquets for free, but don’t worry if you don’t tick that box.
Sign up for the FREE 14-day trial here, and you can get your binge on right away without paying a cent.
Now all that’s left to do is stock up on popcorn and let the binge-watching begin.
