Advertising industry peeps will enjoy this. It’s a typical representation of rubbish work coming out of a “reputation” agency.
All sorts of punishment is being dished out in the comments section under the release of a video made by TBWA\Chiat\Day – a New York ad agency who have just taken on a new Creative Director, in the shape of one Al Kelly.
They made a full-on rip-off music video of the Paul Simon Chevy Chase video for the song “Call me Al.”
Agency-types the world over are up in arms.
Check it out.

Some of my favourites include:
“This video makes Al look like an a**hole. He got paid a butt load of cash to come to TBWA\C\D\LA after they laid off like 65 people in the last month, and now there’s a video stroking his ego by two very very big brown nosers. But then again, that’s how it works there, and always will be. The brown nosers win, the talented hard working people get thrown under the bus.”
“Back at you f*ckhead. Best of luck hanging out with the egotistical, self-important hacks who have no idea how to take the industry into the future. I’m looking forward to being your client, cutting your budget before moving the whole account to a digital agency and thus ensuring you get fired, you dick. Thanks.”
“Nice going team Shiat.”
“You, and those who applaud and reward your ass-kissing, are what’s wrong with the industry and the world for that matter.”
“Chiat stole Visa and Pepsi from BBDO, but they also took Jimmy Smith. So it all balances out in the end.”
