Ja, look, I don’t really care much about this, but maybe you do.
This past Friday night, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Rick Astley, the guy who sang ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ back in the 1980s, performed together at the Moth Club in London.
It would have been rude if they didn’t perform Astley’s signature tune, and the crowd seemed pretty stoked with the double act.
You can see footage of the performance via this Instagram post, as well as this one, although the video below should do the trick:
More from Mashable:
Grohl wasn’t expecting to get such a reaction from the crowd in attendance and ended up playing five songs, four of them with Astley on the drums, according to a writeup on NME. Along with “Never Gonna Give You Up,” the band played some of the Foo Fighters’ biggest hits including “Times Like These” and “Best of You.”
The surprise appearance of the legendary musicians marked the return of Club NME, a weekly club event featuring hot new indie artists and occasional big surprise acts (like Friday’s show).
Sounds like a good time.
