Meghan and Harry didn’t fare too well in the recent popularity poll ranking the royals from most to least favourite.
Meghan came in sixth behind Prince Philip – the royal family racist. To be fair to Meghan, her ranking might actually say more about the British public than it does about her and her place in the family.
Over the past few months, the couple has garnered plenty of attention from the tabloid press, who seem to collectively orgasm every time one of them slips up.
The most recent attack had to do with their supposed ‘hypocrisy’.
Here’s CNN:
Environmental campaigners have accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of hypocrisy after the couple used private jets to fly to the south of France and Ibiza in two trips just days apart.
Prince Harry and Meghan, who have spoken out regularly on environmental issues, were photographed boarding a private jet with their three-month-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor twice in the last week, visiting Nice, France.
Look, I’m fine with them using a private jet. Unlike Kim and Kanye, the royals are a security risk. I don’t want them on the same plane as me. It’s called self-preservation.
Speaking of preservation, here’s what the royals had to say about the environment:
Earlier in August, Harry said he plans to have two children “maximum,” in order to protect the planet, during a conversation with activist Jane Goodall in an edition of British Vogue guest-edited by Meghan. He also spoke about the “terrifying” effects of climate change.
Yeah, we won’t talk about that Vogue interview…
On the offending holiday, the couple and the royal spawn were visiting family friend Sir Elton John in Nice. When the press attacked them for using the jet, Sir Elton stepped in with an angry rant on Twitter:
You tell ’em, Elton.
Buckingham Palace has declined to comment.
