There are some things that you’ll only encounter in a small town.
I lived in the Eastern Free State for two years where I would routinely encounter cows and sheep outside my front gate.
One of them gave birth once, which means I can officially answer in the affirmative if Hannibal Lecter ever asks me if I can still hear the lambs screaming.
Despite frequent encounters with cattle, I’ve never had to fend off a bull. This lady in Standerton, Mpumalanga, can’t say the same.
Over to News24:
A raging bull which escaped from a Standerton auction lot on Friday was caught on camera knocking over a woman in the small town’s CBD.
Footage captured by the manager of the local KFC shows the aggravated animal narrowly missing two bystanders before knocking over a woman who was standing on the street corner.
Look at it go:
You’ve got to hand it to that lady. She’s not letting that bull keep her down.
“According to the KFC manager who filmed the incident, the lady said she was fine and didn’t need any medical treatment,” he said.
The bull was later captured and returned to the auction.
