A company called Renova has released a special edition, perfumed toilet paper in the colours of the Vatican flag to ‘honour’ Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Spain next week. Moisturizer, paper towels and black toilet paper are among the other holy cosmetics the company has produced.
This is some copy from the site:
“Is there any better way to liven up the streets than using these large streamers with the Vatican’s colour-scheme? Open your windows to celebrate! Welcome Pope Benedict!”
All opinions aside, I wonder if the Vatican owns Renova. I’ll bet it does.
Local residents should be happy to know that it will only cost them two to three Euros to purchase themselves a roll. They are all imprinted with an ‘I heart the Pope’, and can be used as streamers for when he arrives, according to the site.
The pope will arrive in Madrid on August 18th to attend the last four days of the six-day World Youth Day celebrations with roughly one million expected to flock to the Spanish capital for the festivities.
Not everyone is as keen though, with some 150 feminist and gay organisations keying up to protest his arrival on the night of the 17th.
Don’t be surprised when every single one of those people buys a pack of Pope toilet paper and doesn’t use it as a streamer.
