Shall we cast an eye to what’s happening with death investigations across the pond?
Sure, why not?
Every year, around 2,8 million Americans die, and in half a million or so of those cases, the cause of death is suspicious. When that occurs, the bodies are sent for further investigation, which can potentially include a forensic autopsy.
That all makes sense, but when you take a closer look at how those investigations are conducted, things look a little less rosy.
On Sunday’s Last Week Tonight episode (yes, there were things on TV other than Game of Thrones), John Oliver took a look at that process.
