It takes a lot to turn around a Monday morning, but maybe this Cheslin Kolbe classic will help.
Over the weekend, Toulouse put Pau to the sword in their Top 14 encounter, finishing up 83-6 winners.
One try stands head and shoulders above the rest, though, and features Kolbe wrapping up a move that started well within the Toulouse 22.
A chip and chase, a no-look pass or two, and then Cheslin with the afterburners to dot down – superb from start to finish.
It’s also worth noting that the game was still up for grabs at this point, so that risk-taking is all the more impressive:
Deserving of a Hugh Bladen ‘Uuuuuuunbelievable’.
A quick summary of everyone involved via Wales Online:
The move started from Toulouse’s own five metre line, with Thomas Ramos launching a delicate cross-kick that was gathered by French international Maxime Medard close to the touchline inside his 22.
Medard then produced a beautiful chip over the top, which was taken by Sofiane Guitone, whose diving offload in contact found the galloping Pita Ahki.
His pass inside was taken by Medard once again, who then proceeded to deliver a no-look over the shoulder pass to the accelerating Kolbe to sprint over the line.
Yeah, that’s what he does.
