I quite like Formula One, and that new doccie series sheds some light on how things tend to play out behind the scenes.

Not sure I can get excited about two-time world champ Fernando Alonso driving a Toyota Hilux, though, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying yourself.

Alonso, who is currently competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) for Toyota, is in South Africa at the moment – the Northern Cape, to be more precise.

Alonso rode shotgun with Toyota Gazoo Dakar racing driver Giniel de Villiers. The team picked up their maiden victory of the tough competition in January 2019, with Nasser Al-Attiyah and Matthieu Baumel claiming victory.

Commenting on his stint in the car, the former McLaren driver said: “The car feels great, very good grip, good balance, good power and braking as well. Everything feels amazing.”
