Prince Charles is soaking up some sun on a royal tour of the Caribbean.
Don’t worry, there’ll be no more pics of him in swimming trunks (the ‘hot bod’, as it has been dubbed), and we’re moving on to accommodation fit for a future king.
This past weekend the Duke and Duchess touched down in Grenada, where they’ll be staying in The Cinnamon Suite, the flagship beachfront suite of Spice Island Beach Resort, a luxury family-run boutique hotel that aims for a “home from home” feel.
I’m pretty sure your definition of what ‘home’ feels like is very different when you grew up in a palace. Then again, the Queen has stayed there before, so the hotel has the Royal Family stamp of approval.
Princess Anne has been a guest twice, and Prince Harry visited in 2016 when he had the same avo ice cream that his mom had sampled a few years earlier.
Here’s The Telegraph:
The décor is minimalist and all the better for it – why would you want to deflect from that view? For our visit as a family of four, the living room was turned into a twin bedroom, which still afforded us generous living space. But if that’s not enough for you, The Cinnamon Suite can be connected to a king-bedded Seagrape Suite.
All the expected mod cons are featured, as well as Nespresso Machines, a Bose Entertainment System, and Alexa Voice Remote, but in this world of fuss-free luxury, there is no tricksy turndown nor elaborate towel art.
…Cinnamon Suite also boasts two balconies, complete with day bed, sofa and dining table, and a patio with sunbeds and hammock.
So it seems like a quiet luxury rather than the over the top hotel suites we assume the rich and famous generally stay in.
So yes, yes, they’re just like us.
Have your moment, and now get on with your day.
