Being famous opens doors, and sometimes it even gets you a tour of Parliament.
Trevor Noah recently returned to South Africa, and a friend rang him up with an interesting opportunity.
It turns out President Cyril Ramaphosa was keen to meet up with the host of The Daily Show, and Trevor decided to bring a few friends along for the ride.
Ever had one of those dreams where you’re not suitably dressed? Yeah, basically that.
Anyway, Trevor managed to wangle a tour of Parliament, where the two walked together and pretended to talk about serious matters.
Something to look out for when Ramaphosa has that ‘serious things’ look on his face going forward:
Trevor, if you could go back in time, would you ask him about the state of our train system in this country?
Do it for the people.
