Two things…
One – I didn’t write that headline.
Two – I don’t really think the performance was all that fabulous.
I mean, Adam Lambert and the remaining members of Queen put on a decent show to open the 91st Academy Awards, but I don’t really think it had the ‘wow’ factor that people were expecting.
Lambert has a history with the band, having performed with them in 2009 and again in 2011, which led to him touring internationally as part of the outfit.

Reviews range from awesome to awkward, with the Guardian falling into the latter category.
They called it an “awkward beginning to the 91st Academy Awards”, adding that Christian Bale was “poker-faced” during the opening:
…opening with Queen didn’t seem that special in the context of the Oscars, where you expect to see all the stops being pulled out. It was a rousing beginning, but an oddly low-rent one.
