As The Rugby World Cup draws near, an important part of the psychological preparation of any team is knowing that their nation is behind them. And what could be an easier way of showing your love and support in this age of pressurised, desk-bound work than with the combined tools of the the interwebs, and social media? That’s correct, there is no better way.
Show your support for the Springboks by liking the official Springbok Facebok page (see what I did there?), which is currently sitting on a paltry 380 000 members. Come now, chaps. Full-time 2oceansVibe character and part-time Springbok captain, The Barndog (AKA John Smit) would be disappointed. He’s keyed in to new media. He knows how many of you rascals have broadband at work and at home.
Moreover, I find it quite puzzling that New Zealand has over 900 000 Facebook fans, with a population of only four million, while the Springboks have only 380 000 Facebook fans, with a national population of over 49 million.
Go ahead, show your support for the Boks. As with any good Facebook page worth joining, there are competitions plastered all over that badboy.
Check out the Unite Campaign here for cool competitions.
