When Lindsay Lohan had her meltdown, it was all over the tabloids. Then she disappeared, and to be perfectly honest, I didn’t notice.
Other than the odd shocker, like that time she brawled with her fiance in public, she’s mostly stayed out of the limelight.
Well, that’s over, because here comes a new reality TV show.
So what is the new project? In summary, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach House follows Lindsay, who has opened a beach house in Mykonos.
The house is staffed by a bunch of overly tanned, and by the look of things, not very intelligent people, who compete for their 15 minutes of fame and a chance to do a spin-off show.
Buckle up:
According to The Daily Beast, the show doesn’t give too much prominence to Lindsay Lohan. This is a good thing for her as she’s clearly had enough negative press over the years. On the downside, she’s probably the only reason anyone would actually tune in.
Lindsay’s new catchphrase, “boss bitch,” is indicative of a star who’s sick of being exploited, and is ready to turn the cameras on someone else—in this case, a random assortment of nightlife professionals who grew up aspiring to have their smush room sessions recorded for posterity.
Unfortunately, Random VIP Hosts and Some Bartenders Beach Club doesn’t have the same draw as an intimate window into the life of a formerly A-List celeb. Without its supposed star, all that remains is a reality TV show that barely bothers to have a premise.
Ugh. That’s a hard pass from me.
