Every time it looks like the Brexit negotiations take a step closer to a deal, negotiations then take two steps back.
We’ve just entered what will be another week of complete and utter turmoil, name-calling and back-stabbing, and tomorrow’s vote could see the whole process derailed once more.
You can get the latest on the political aspect here, but let’s rather enjoy Gollum as Theresa May, in what is just another damning blow to her public image.
We already know that she might be one of the world’s most awkward dancers (honestly, make it stop), but now Andy Serkis, the man who played Gollum in the iconic Lord of the Rings franchise, is taking his own potshots.
Over to Mashable:
Despite the turmoil, the deal is very precious to Prime Minister Theresa May though, which makes it prime parody material for Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings film series.
“This is it. Our deal,” Serkis, dressed as May, said in the video. “We takes back control — borders, laws, blue passports.”
It’s part of a campaign for the People’s Vote, a group calling for another referendum on whether the UK should leave the European Union.
It’s not a good look:
That’s the problem with “the people” – they are far too easily fooled by conniving politicians, their empty promises and hate-filled rhetoric.
All indications are that many of those who voted ‘Leave’ have since come to their senses, but whether or not there will be a People’s Vote remains to be seen.
