When the royals do something ordinary the whole world falls over themselves to find out the tiny details of what went down.
Remember that time Meghan Markle closed a car door? Of course, you do, it went viral.
Before marrying Meghan, Harry was one of the world’s most eligible bachelors. He also had some relationships, because he’s a person with a social life.
Back in 2015, Harry went to a polo party, where he had a conversation with Dr Who star Jenna Coleman. The young royal was pictured looking rather cosy with her and was even spotted resting a hand on the actress’ knee.
Here’s a picture of the two of them having said conversation:
Scandalous.
Following the party, Jenna Coleman started dating Tom Hughes. That would have been the end of it, if not for the tabloids that manage to turn every situation into a high drama spectacle.
The latest example of this took place during a weekend away with Meghan. Here’s NewsAU:
Harry and Meghan were celebrating the opening of the new Amsterdam Soho Club when he ran into British actor Jenna Coleman, Vanity Fair reports.
“Harry had to walk straight past Jenna to get to his and Meghan’s table,” an eyewitness told the magazine.
“It was pretty awkward and some of the other guests were commenting on it. Jenna looked down while Harry looked straight ahead, while Meghan didn’t seem to notice.
“She sat through breakfast with a smile on her face, but Harry looked a bit uncomfortable. He’d been super friendly saying hi to everyone, but he didn’t even acknowledge Jenna.”
Following the knee-touching incident of 2015, Jenna had received date requests from both Harry and Hughes.
But according to Vanity Fair, their budding romance had fizzled out when Coleman chose Victoria co-star Tom Hughes over Harry.
Calm down, Vanity Fair, it was a convo and some knee touching, no one proposed.
I’m not even convinced that she qualifies as an ex-girlfriend. She was acting in Victoria, not actually living in the 1800s.
