Some of us will never make it as professional sportsmen or sportswomen, and you have to learn to be OK with that.

Every now and again, though, you are reminded that even the world’s best footballers can look as unskilled as the average person.

I’ll be honest – I get a bit of a kick out of that, which is why I enjoyed this Bundesliga blunder so much.

Competing against the likes of Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia and Fankaty Dabo in the ’embarassing own goal’ stakes, this one is a combined effort from two Stuttgart players during their match against Werder Bremen.

It’s Borna Sosa who throws the ball in, and it’s Ron-Robert Zieler who is clearly not paying attention. The latter has been credited with the OG, and I’m sure his teammates have given him plenty of stick for it:

Not his finest moment.

Thankfully for Zieler and Sosa, Stuttgart won the match 2-1, so their blunder didn’t end up being too costly.
