Snoop Dogg is the master of reinvention. Remember that time he was Snoop Lion, for example?
He also has no f***s to give, which is why he didn’t mind putting his street cred on the line to do a cooking show with Martha Stewart.
The show, Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, is actually really cool. He makes it worth watching, and lest we forget that Martha herself has done time, so that’s some added spice.
Now, the thing you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without – Snoop has released a cookbook, called From Crook to Cook.
Here’s Rolling Stone:
The 50 recipes run the gamut from classy (lobster thermidor, filet mignon) to stoner-friendly (soft-flour tacos, baked mac and cheese) to Snoop Dogg-themed (gin and juice).
The rapper added in a statement, “You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen. I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favorite recipes, ya dig?”
I dig.
Not sure if you’ll find the same kinds of tasty recipes that you do with Daily Dish, and you’ll have to buy the ingredients yourself, but good stuff, Snoop.
The book will be 192 pages long, and comes with bonus material:
[It] will include “epic stories and behind-the-scenes photos” to accompany each of the dishes. It also boasts a cover best described as “five-star.”
In March, Snoop Dogg released his 16th studio album (and first venture into gospel music), Bible of Love. The rapper is also set to co-star in an upcoming, semi-autobiographical musical, Redemption of a Dogg, featuring music from the album.
The cover is amazing:
Snoop isn’t the first rapper to release a cookbook. 2 Chainz and Coolio have cookbooks too, and Action Bronson presents the Viceland food doccie series Fuck, That’s Delicious.
I’m just really glad that this is in the world.
