The dust has far from settled with regards Adam Catzavelos, but South Africans are already doing their best to find humour in this mess.
In case you somehow haven’t caught on, Adam is the chap who was so delighted to spend some time on a beach overseas that was vanilla white.
Or, as he put it, “not a k****r in sight”.
It didn’t take long for Twitter to hunt down his details, and you knew that was just the beginning.
Soon, his own brother was forced to issue a statement on behalf of the family, with Adam himself nowhere to be found, and the DA and the EFF laid charges.
Not much to smile about there, but enter the #AdamCatzavelosChallenge.
Social media users were ready to take the piss out of Adam and his weather forecast, so let’s take a look at a few of those.

He responded to some peeps saying too soon, as well:
If you like rapid-fire mashups, News24 also put this together:
You know who is not laughing? Adam, or his children for that matter. This via EWN:
The private Johannesburg school where Adam Catzavelos’ children are enrolled has banned the businessman from its premises in the wake of his racist video rant.
The school, which Eyewitness News will not name to protect the minors involved, has sent out a communique to parents, saying Catzavelos is not welcome until further notice.
Other outlets have named the school as St. John’s College, and Tumi Sole shared the letter the school sent on Twitter:
Big ups to St John’s College for taking a stance against Adam whilst protecting the interests of the kids.

I feel for his kids, who are probably having a torrid time because of their father’s tirade. As for dad’s business interests – also not going well, as Times LIVE reports:
St George’s Fine Foods said apart from removing Adam Catzavelos from the board of directors of the family-owned business‚ a settlement is being negotiated on his 33% stake in the business…
In an updated statement‚ the family and St George’s Fine Foods said Adam had no operational involvement in another family business‚ Smokehouse and Grill restaurant. It said his passive 25% interest in the restaurant was also being unwound.
The family say they, and some associated with the businesses they operate, have been on the receiving end of death threats:
It said members of the extended family and some of its staff and business associates had been threatened and intimidated‚ with death threats made.
“Our primary concern‚ therefore‚ right now‚ is for the safety of the extended family‚ and that of our staff and associates. As stated before‚ we reject racism and seek‚ in our own small way‚ to work for the betterment of this country‚ for our immediate families and for our communities.”
Expect plenty more to come on this front.
