I don’t want to open up the MacBook versus PC debate, but if you’re giving your vote to the latter then you’re wrong.
Just ask Tim Cook, the beaming Apple CEO above, who recently saw the company’s value top $1 trillion.
For those who are team MacBook, there is some pretty big news headed your way. According to recent reports, Apple “is nearing the release of a long-awaited, completely redesigned successor to its MacBook Air laptop”.
According to Bloomberg, who spoke with “people familiar with the plans”, the new successor will also be “low-cost”:
The new laptop will look similar to the current MacBook Air, but will include thinner bezels around the screen. The display, which will remain about 13-inches, will be a higher-resolution “Retina” version that Apple uses on other products, the people said. They asked not to be identified discussing products still in development.
Sounds rather appealing, doesn’t it? If you can’t wait that long, Digicape have a MacBook Air going for R13 999, but let’s keep moving.
Tinkering with the MacBook isn’t the only thing on Apple’s mind:
When Apple releases new Macs in the fall, it often does so in October, following the launch of new iPhones. The company is planning to debut three new iPhones, Apple Watches with larger screens, and new iPad Pros later this year, other people familiar with the plans said…
In addition to the new Mac models, Apple is preparing to launch macOS Mojave, a new version of its Mac operating system that adds new features for sorting files and the ability to run iPad apps like Apple News. The company is also planning a new version of the Mac Pro, the company’s most high-end Mac, for next year, Apple has said.
In other words, there is plenty afoot over at Apple.
For those of you already chomping at the bit, consider this – you can actually trade in all of your older Apple products (iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches) at Digicape, and get the price of any new purchase reduced.
That way, when the latest goodies arrive at South Africa’s largest independent Apple retailer, you’ll be ready to go.
A little heads up, too, for those who want the chance to win a pair of Skullcandy headphones – click the image below to enter.
