It was another weekend of the world’s foremost man-baby bashing out hateful tweets with his tiny little hands, and the biggest attention-grabber was his assault on basketballer LeBron James.
The superstar has made no secret of his views on Donald Trump, saying the president uses sports to divide people, views he echoed during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon.
The show was re-aired on the network on Friday night, and despite constantly calling CNN ‘fake news’, I guess Donnie just can’t help watching.
Cue this tweet:
So he’s basically calling LeBron an idiot, as well as Don Lemon. No surprises that both just happen to be black.
Amazing how Donnie used to be a LeBron fan back in the day, but never felt the love coming back his way, and has now done a 180:
If you don’t stroke that fragile, orange ego, get ready for a Twitter tirade.
Here’s the thing – Trump could not have picked a worse week to go after LeBron. CNN with why:
The interview focused on James’ contributions to his hometown of Akron, Ohio, including a new public school for at-risk third- and fourth-graders there.
That’s right – the guy is opening a school, you utter moron. Hence the comparisons:
Now those who don’t subscribe to the Trump cult were quick to call POTUS out, but then Melania waded into the argument.
Not a good look for her husband, and more fuel for those who believe that the First Lady hates the man she’s married to:
The first lady’s office was asked by news organizations [sic] for comment. Instead of ignoring the requests or mirroring the President’s attack against the NBA star, the first lady’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, praised James and his charitable work in a statement provided to CNN.
“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today,” Grisham said.
“As you know, Mrs. Trump has traveled the country and world talking to children about their well-being, healthy living, and the importance of responsible online behavior with her Be Best initiative.”
Grisham added that the first lady would be open to visiting James’ “I Promise” school.
Yeah, she hates him – that bit about “responsible online behaviour” is rather pointed. Still, ever since Melania wore that jacket, she can also go and get f*cked.
The other party involved in Trump’s tirade was Michael Jordan, retired basketball superstar, and he made his views clear:
On Saturday, Jordan ignored Trump’s praise of him and said he has James’ back.
“I support LeBron James. He’s doing an amazing job for his community,” Jordan said through a spokeswoman.
To summarise, Donald attacked LeBron in the week he opened a school to uplift the community in which he grew up. His own wife, and the man he praised over LeBron, both sided with the basketballer.
Just take your ‘L’ and move on, you bloated buffoon.
