The 2018 World Cup may go down in history as one of the greatest ever, with every round thus far producing drama by the bucketload.
I assume you’re up to speed with last night’s penalty action (and Colombia’s dirty tactics), and I know you’ve seen Brazilian superstar Neymar writhing around on the floor like a fish out of water.
No surprises that the tournament has been full of histrionics, and it looks like KFC saw it coming, too.
Their ad ahead of the World Cup hit the nail on the head, with this info from GoodThingsGuy:
The ad, created by Ogilvy Cape Town and directed by Karien Cherry from Giant Films, is titled “Keep Rolling” and follows the journey of football player, Herbz, who decides to take a dive and roll all the way through town to make a meal of it at KFC, with two pieces of chicken and chips.
If only Hyundai had chatted with someone about their marketing campaign, because I now hate them and everything they stand for.
To the ad – it’s all very Neymar-esque:
We doff our caps to you.
Still, nobody comes close to Chicken Licken and their advertising.
Don’t @ me.
