Brace yourself, folks, because Kim Jong Un has shocked the world by showing that he, too, has a strong selfie game.
Or at least that he thinks he does – delusion must come very naturally to the North Korean dictator.
Anyhoo, hours before his historic summit with Donald Trump, Kim Jong Un decided to take a leisurely, late night stroll around Singapore with his new pals/tour guides: Vivian Balakrishnan, the city-state’s foreign minister, and Ong Ye Kung, the country’s education minister.
Per the report by The Telegraph, that’s when Balakrishnan did something very ballsy:
The North Korean dictator smiled as Balakrishnan [pictured left] … took a photograph of them together on his mobile phone, which he then posted on Facebook and Twitter.
Ong Ye Kung [pictured right] … also squeezed into the historic selfie, his shoulder touching Kim’s.
Brave, brave lads. I’m just surprised that a bodyguard or something didn’t jump in to shove the two ministers off the dictator and cuss ’em out.
Behold, the historic selfie in question:
Yes, Kim’s actually smiling. The end is nigh, everyone.
I kid, but still, when is the guy ever smiling?
Goodness knows what was running through his mind, but I bet it was something along the lines “How the hell do I get this photo off the internet like that goddamn awful video of me from years ago?”
Too late for that, boet.
But all in all, Kim seemed to be behaving himself and acting very much like a “jovial tourist” instead of his usual iron-fisted, dictator-like self during his jaunt:
Kim, used to being treated as a demi-god in his own country, appeared remarkably relaxed as TV cameras and photographer’s flashbulbs were pointed in his face.
Great. Fantastic. Absolutely peachy.
God alone knows how long he’ll keep up the smiley-happy act, though. After meeting Trump, I’ll be amazed if Kim will ever be able to smile again.
Ah well, Little Rocket Man’s, er, gorgeous smile will always live on in that selfie.
