It’s not often that you get to see a lion getting tossed around by a buffalo.
Not just tossed once, but three times – and all over a water monitor, nogal.
It sounds more far-fetched than an eagle, a fox and a rabbit duking it out, but it’s true.
Sune Eloff, who captured this lion-tossing action on video at Kruger National Park, couldn’t believe it, either.
According to Times LIVE, she came across the group of young lions after they captured a water monitor. Three male buffalo in the area noticed the lions, specifically the one with the lizard dangling out of its mouth, and one decided to take matters into its own horns – er, hands.
Take a look at the lion getting its just desserts:
Justice for the lizard!
Said Eloff:
To our absolute astonishment, the buffalo proceeded to get his head right under the puzzled lion and somersault him through the air.
An impressive acrobatic display worthy of an Olympic gold medal.
Obviously, the lion wasn’t going to stick around so it hopped, skipped and jumped out of there.
As for the poor lizard, it’s unclear if it survived. Still, at least justice was served in its honour.
Mother Nature works in mysterious ways.
