We’re only five months into 2018, and already there have been plenty of plane-related incidents and goofs that have made local and international headlines.
Unruly passengers, allegedly racist crew members and mechanical failures all make up the bulk of these bizarre travel stories, reports Newsweek, but it’s these three incidents that we think really take the cake.
And they’ve all been captured on video for your viewing pleasure, folks.
First up, in January TMZ caught astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to land on the moon, going off at a Delta Air Lines employee after he missed his flight.
Observe the elderly gent raging in all his glory:
Maybe Aldrin should have stuck to a space shuttle.
According to Newsweek:
The Delta employee did not appear riled by the conversation and continued to offer him a place on a later flight.
“This is the most lousy operation I’ve ever heard of,” Aldrin exclaimed at one point.
I suppose a world-class astronaut would know about such things.
A representative for Aldrin told Newsweek that TMZ’s release of the footage of the incident was “unfortunate.”
I’m sure.
Next, take a look at this drunken dumbass. He was seen on video fighting several groundcrew members on the tarmac after getting kicked off an American Airlines flight from Charlotte, North Carolina to Cincinnati, Ohio:
t
Only the Lord knows why he went shirtless. Let’s just blame the alcohol for this one.
Lastly, there’s this freaky incident where a female passenger was restrained after trying to open the cabin in mid-flight on a United Express plane while repeatedly screaming, “I am God.”
We wrote about this one back in March, but here it is again:
Let’s hope she’s getting all the medical help she needs.
We’ll have to wait and see if the rest of the year will be free of these flying issues.
Doubtful, though.
