It’s getting to that time of the year when Silly Season finally calms down, and I for one am delighted.
Sure, everyone talks about February being busy, but then March rolls around and it’s still birthday and wedding central.
Then it seeps into April and, wouldn’t you know it, the weekends are still all booked up.
That’s why I’m loving May and this weather, where Capetonians batten down the hatches and there’s finally the chance to put your feet up a little, and maybe enjoy some couple’s downtime.
How about winning a pampered and luxurious couple’s weekend away, then, with three nights’ accommodation at the Robertson Small Hotel, which is the town’s only five-star hotel?
Look at this gorgeous little number:
You’re keen already, but then I’ll add into the mix the fact that you’re riding to Robertson aboard the Red Devil Steam Train, which will depart from Cape Town Harbour at 8AM on May 24.
Luxury rail travel – tick.
Of course all good things happen in threes, so we should also tell you that you’ll be sipping on Krone MCC: A collection of Vintage only MCC, crafted at one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms, Twee Jonge Gezellen in Tulbagh.
Sign me up right now.
The travel dates of the four-night, three-day stay are May 24 to May 27, so count your chickens and keep that weekend open.
At this point you want to know how to enter, and luckily that’s the easiest part of all.
Here we go:
If you can’t get that question right then we’re afraid you don’t deserve nice things.
To read the fine print, head over to the competition page here and you’ll get all the deets.
Good luck with your entry, with the winner set to be notified electronically before May 17.
Don’t say we never give you nice things.
