You might recall the article (here) earlier this week about Jim Clark, the 65 year old billionaire and legend, who married the 28 year old supermodel, Kristy Hinze? Yup, that’s the one.
So anyway, one of our vibers is currently living the holiday in the Virgin Islands, which is where the whole wedding after-party is going on. As you know, our boy has his own yacht (here), but that might not fit the rest of his crew. And by “crew” I don’t mean the ship crew, I mean his “buddies.”
So he chartered this puppy – The Maltese Falcon [nod of acknowledgment to Nigel Pace]. Apart from having a fucking cool name, the yacht is a bit of a joke. It rents for around R4 million a week. It’s probably owned by a buddy of his in Silicon Valley (Jim founded Netscape) so he probably got it free.
The Maltese Falcon
You couldn’t dream about it,
because you couldn’t imagine it.
Until now..
That is EXACTLY how you roll!.
Lemmie tell you more (source):
A privileged few will be fortunate enough to experience Maltese Falcon under sail. The 88 meter clipper Maltese Falcon is the largest sailing yacht in the world and in a breeze Maltese Falcon’s immense DynaRig powers her to record shattering speeds. Maltese Falcon’s interior is luxurious with a rich contemporary décor, delightful to the eye and soothing to the soul. Maltese Falcon is the ideal choice of yacht for large scale entertaining while meandering between smart anchorages, or for that once in a lifetime blue water ocean passage, foaming through the crests, under a towering cloud of sail. Atlantic crossings in ten days are on offer from this extraordinary yacht! A masterpiece of technology and design, the Maltese Falcon is a yacht without equal.
