Aaaaah, man.

In an effort to take over the world, Facebook is ruining everything one update at a time, the latest being Instagram. Again.

The new update will see an “Activity Status” added, which lets all your pseudo friends and creepy stalkers see when you were last active on the app.

Yup, just like Facebook Messenger.

Shall we all hold hands and cry together?

It’s located in the messaging section of the app, and now you will know if people are ignoring you on Instagram as well as WhatsApp, Messenger and so forth.

Thank goodness there’s a way to change it, though:

Go Instagram’s app settings (the gear icon) inside of your profile, and then toggle off the “Show Activity Status.”

Boom.

Mark Zuckerberg just needs to remember that the reason Instagram was cool is because it was nothing like Facebook.
