You’ll be relieved to know that’s not a Nazi salute above, although the Dragons’ Den judges are probably feeling pretty stupid right about now.
The American version of the popular show, now syndicated around the world, has had its fair share of ups and downs over the years, but almost everyone agrees that their latest investment was a pretty stupid move to make.
Not just that, but it could prove to be a costly one for those who threw their cash into the mix.
Get ready for some ‘quantum entanglement’ baloney, friends:
Gear and Grit make a pretty decent observation:
What makes sense here is that they’re targeting golfers, who consist of a demographic of people senile enough to believe most telemarketing scams and who possess plenty of disposable wealth.
I just love the idea that these guys, with the help of physicists, mastered quantum entanglement which has the potential for enormous impacts and thought, “nah, lets help people play golf better.”
This was the same thing we heard during that ‘power balance bracelet’ phase, and it’s something that many have debunked using science.
You’ll find a decent takedown HERE, but let’s focus on the judges being taken for a ride.
Perhaps it’s the Dragons reckoning that they can pull the wool over the American public, who seem to be rather gullible at the moment, or perhaps they have just been duped themselves.
For us, when it comes to innovation, it’s often a case of the simpler the better. You know an invention hits the spot when someone says ‘damn, why didn’t I think of that myself?’
Just ask those who snapped up a Drilby over the course of the past 12 months. My guess is that they often use a drill, and are thus often left collecting the dust that flies around post-sesh.
Stop it. You’re better than that, and you have better things to do with your time. I’ll just pop this video here:
R100 and you’re sorted. Maybe a decent stocking stuffer, or a Secret Santa gift for a work colleague that has a propensity for DIY?
At least you’ll know it’s money better spent than the Dragons and their quantum entanglement.
