Pizza night will never be the same after watching how much fun it is in space.
While becoming an astronaut is an exhilarating notion, once you arrive at your intended destination – i.e. The Space Station – you might quickly realise that there are a few earthly things you miss.
Ask me, I would know – or, for a more experienced answer, ask Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli.
A member of the current crew, Nespoli missed pizza so much that he “boldly brought it up to his boss during a live streamed public event,” reports Mashable:
According to a tweet from Nespoli, his boss delivered the ingredients needed to construct some out of this world pizza pies. Fellow Expedition 53 crew member, astronaut Randy Bresnik, uploaded a minute-long video of the assembly process.
In preparation for movie night the astronauts gathered together to sauce, top, and (easily) toss their pies in zero gravity. And while the pizza might not have been up to Earth standards, Nespoli said they were “unexpectedly delicious.”
Regardless of taste, there’s no doubt that making pizza is definitely more entertaining after you leave the planet:
Hmmm, they don’t, however, appear to be anything like the hot, melty, cheesy goodness we get from Butlers, do they?
Imagine devouring The Rotherham, with its lite base and delicious topping, and a legit view of earth.
Done.
Oh, and you should take a note of the specials they are offering seeing as it is December:
