That Awkward Moment When A Prop KO’s His Own Flyhalf By Mistake [Video]

The hard men up front often get a raw deal, with rugby fans heaping praise on the flashier backline players, and this bloke isn't doing his fellow props any favours.

Props are a special breed, and anyone who has ever set foot on a rugby field (or shared a change room) will understand that point without needing further explanation.

We know they love a good front row hug when a scrum goes well, and the same is true for a breakdown turnover.

Take for example this chap over in Japan. According to Sport24, “emotion got the better of a Japanese college player who flattens his own flyhalf in celebration”.

Info is hard to come by, but after a Google translation on the YouTube video here’s what we’re looking at:

University rugby It is rare happening that happened in the game of Kyoto industry VS Kinki in 2017. The collapsed teammate was carried on a stretcher, but I was relieved that he did not have a big injury.

I’m ready for the video, thanks.

Remember when your mate who’s a prop scored that try, and after a few beers his efforts had taken on Herculean proportions? There’s a poem for that right HERE.
