Damn, just the other day we watched a 10-year-old go on a wild joyride in his mother’s car, and now we’re having to see a 17-year-old assault a motorist for no apparent reason.
Captured on the ever-reliable CCTV footage – sometimes you have to appreciate Big Brother – the teen can be seen attacking a motorist. The incident occurred on Monday and went viral on social media, reports Times LIVE.
In the footage, we see a motorist in a white sedan pull up to a house in Kelvin‚ Johannesburg. Then:
Seconds later, the motorcyclist comes to a halt by the driver’s side door. The two first exchange words, gestures then later blows before the motorcyclist drives off.
Check it yourself – the violence really kicks into overdrive towards the end of the video:

It has been confirmed by Sandton police spokesman Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo that the suspect was arrested:
“The suspect has been charged with common assault. The motive for the attack is not yet known‚” said Mamabolo.
He was, however, tracked down “a private security company hired by the brother of the victim” and handed to the police yesterday:
“We found the suspect at his home‚ not far from where the crime occurred. We were accompanied to his house by members of the Johannesburg Metro Police who have also established that the accused does not even have a licence to ride the bike. His bike is also linked to a case of assault and damage to property reported in July this year‚” said David De Villiers of ZSS Security.
The 17-year-old is expected to appear at the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court (there’s a Wynberg in Jozi) on Wednesday. According to ZSS Security‚ the victim has facial injuries and is recovering at home.
Surely he’s too young to have such road rage? Honestly, I think he needs some counselling.
