In the world of extreme sport, the name Ken Block sits high on the list of most revered.
Not only is he a professional rally driver and the co-founder of DC Shoes, but Block has competed professionally in nearly every kind of action sport out there, from skateboarding to snowboarding and motocross.
He also owns a crazy-ass rallycross car that he uses to show off just how much of a powerhouse precision driver he is. The lastest video released from him is the much anticipated Gymkhana TEN, the latest instalment of his award-winning, Gymkhana viral-video franchise:
Block is taking things to a whole new level with five different, epic, all wheel-drive, high-horsepower Ford racecars, two of which are all-new for Block with a third being an all-new, built from the ground up vehicle — on the same level as Block’s wildly popular Hoonicorn. And to add to it all, Block is filming these vehicles in five different locations around the world.
To give you an idea of how massive this guy is, back in 2010, the third version of Gymkhana was the most viewed video on YouTube.
And the latest is just as epic – take a look:
Told you. Probably the best two minutes of RX action you have seen today, isn’t it?
Well, next weekend you can see it live.
The awesomeness that is Ken Block will be in South Africa for the Gumtree World Rallycross Championship, the first time the World RX event will be hosted on the African continent.
He will be racing alongside two homgrown heroes as well as some of the best RX racers out there.
It’s all going down – and up – at the Killarney International Raceway in Cape Town on Saturday the 11th of November from 8AM until Sunday the 12th of November 2017 at 4PM.
And, if you’re into cool things like a clock that’s counting down the seconds, make sure to check out their website – there are only six days and 12 hours to go.
You can expect the Gumtree-sponsored event to boast wheel-to-wheel action from RX Supercars with over 600bhp, going from 0-100km/h in less than two seconds. Casual.
Hurry up and get your tickets here and, as always, a big thanks to online classified site Gumtree who are doing wonders for the automotive industry in South Africa (check out their Pre-Owned Car Awards as well).
You want some more Ken Block, don’t you? Well, here we go, the promo video for Gymkhana NINE which got over 95 million YouTube views:
