If you happen to be keeping count you will know that yesterday’s impromptu game of political musical chairs was Zuma’s 12th Cabinet Reshuffle, but that doesn’t mean each one isn’t still a kick to the guts.
What hurts most is the audacity of it all – in broad daylight, as we watch on powerless, knowing that these decisions only further deepen the State Capture mess we find ourselves in.
You can dabble in the why of the latest shuffle HERE, but it’s not pretty.
Right, let’s move on. Titled ‘President Gone Rogue’, here’s Zapiro’s take this morning via the Daily Maverick:
I’m not sure quite what animal Zuma is. The feet, the ears, what are we looking at here?
It’s clear that some of Zapiro’s latest cartoons have struck a nerve, especially with our dear Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula.
Following his epic (and illegal) Twitter gaffe, where he shamed innocent men on the way to a funeral to his one million followers (HERE), Mbalula took offence to Zapiro’s depiction.
He sent out this tweet last week:
Which had this image:
Shame, seems like Fikile is a bit of a snowflake.
Also we don’t use Comic Sans Minister, that’s just not on.
Zapiro didn’t let the chance to land another dig pass him by, responding with this on the Daily Maverick yesterday:
You know when people try and heckle comedians at their shows, and then the comedians humiliate them in front of the watching crowd?
Yeah, you might want to stop now Minister, because Zapiro’s pen is far mightier than your wit.
